Piazza Gae Aulenti. Designed by Argentine architect Cesar Pelli to completion of the homonymous towers, it is a circular plaza with a 100 meter diameter, completely pedestrian and raised to 6 meters above the street level.
The Porta Nuova neighborhood has undergone profound changes in recent years. The tower Unicredit designed by architect Cesar Pelli, the "Vertical Forest" by architect Stefano Boeri and the Pavilion of architect Michele De Lucchi are the spearhead. The square Gae Aulenti has become a center of attraction for the inhabitants and tourists. The streets in the vicinity, such as Corso Como or surrounding neighborhoods, such as Isola, have now more attractions and charm.
