The Unicredit Tower with a height of 231 metres, is the tallest building in Italy. The building was designed by architect Cesar Pelli and it will serve as the new headquarters of UniCredit Bank. The Unicredit Tower is part of a larger development of new residential and business structures in Milan's Porta Nuova district.
The Porta Nuova neighborhood has undergone profound changes in recent years. The tower Unicredit designed by architect Cesar Pelli, the "Vertical Forest" by architect Stefano Boeri and the Pavilion of architect Michele De Lucchi are the spearhead. The square Gae Aulenti has become a center of attraction for the inhabitants and tourists. The streets in the vicinity, such as Corso Como or surrounding neighborhoods, such as Isola, have now more attractions and charm.
